Refund policy

At The Cap Shop, we strive to ensure our customers are completely satisfied with their purchases. Should you need to return an item, we have outlined our return and refund policy below to ensure a smooth and transparent process.

Return Policy

You have 14 days from the date you receive your item to request a return.

Eligibility for Returns

To be eligible for a return, your item must meet the following criteria:

  • Condition: The item must be in the same condition as when you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging.
  • Proof of Purchase: A receipt or proof of purchase is required.

Initiating a Return

To start a return, please contact us at hello@thecapshop.co.za. Once your return request is approved, we will provide you with a return shipping label and detailed instructions on how to send your package back. Items sent back without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items

Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item. 

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Damages and Issues

Exchanges

The quickest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have. Once the return is accepted, you can make a separate purchase for the new item.

Refunds

Once we have received and inspected your return, we will notify you of the approval status of your refund. If approved, you will be refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please note that it may take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.

If more than 15 business days have passed since your return was approved and you have not received your refund, please contact us at hello@thecapshop.co.za.
